We are delighted to be supporting Winchester Cathedral with their plans for the restoration of the landmark Prior’s Gate – late medieval timber gates that have provided access to the Inner Close of the Cathedral since the 15^th century.

The work is part of a six-month plan being undertaken by a local specialist workshop to conserve the gates for future generations to enjoy – aligning with our ethos of designing and building homes that stand the test of time.

We thought it would be interesting to create an historical story board on the temporary gates that have been put in place for the duration of the conservation and are delighted with the new graphics that were installed today by the team at Big Stuff and designed in conjunction with LDOT.
